Catching up...

Wow, it has almost been a whole month since we last posted here...that is really unbelievable. Time is going by way too fast! So, what's been going on with us?

Over labor day weekend we traveled back to Illinois for Megan's dad's wedding. The wedding was great and we are so happy for Loren and Myra! It was really good to be able to see all of Megan's family and we even hung around the area for a few days to see some of mine as well. It was our first trip back home in eight months! Below is a picture of Megan with her dad.

The weekend of September 14 we went to Apex to see our friends and to celebrate my 32nd birthday. Megan asked me what I wanted this year and I told her that I would love to get our friends together for a cookout. Well, it was really hot, but it was a lot of fun. The fellowship was good and the cornhole wasn't bad either (if I could play better it wouldn't have been that bad...). Below is a pic of me in my birthday hat.

Other than the traveling, things have just been pretty busy with Megan's work and my school and work. We've also made some pretty drastic changes in our eating and exercising habits. We are both doing Weight Watchers and are working out at Lifestyle Family Fitness a few days a week. We've both lost some weight and are feeling so much better.
